In the Cup Semi’s

Well done to our Mixed 1 who pulled out a miracle to beat Boyne in the Cup Quarter Final last night.
It was a nail biter from start to finish. Our ladies kept us in it with solid wins in the singles and a doubles, but going into the mixed matches 2-4 down, we felt a bit like the Last Samurais.
We somehow held them off to win all 3, followed by squeals of delight the likes of which I’ve never heard. Victory was just about as sweet as Ann’s delicious pavlova.

So, we are very happy to have 3 teams in the Semis (at Whitehall Road) :

Thursday – 9pm (2nd feb) our Ladies 2 are playing St Raphaelas
Friday – 7pm (3rd feb) our Mixed 1 are playing Beag’s Beo
Saturday – 5pm (4th feb) our Mixed 10 are playing Danum
